KARGIL TO PADUM

Was a cloudy and cold  six hours ride down to Padum. No sunshine today. Back at The Alps Guesthouse which is very comfortable with good food nice rooms for INR 2500.

Am going home earlier than planned, have seen everything  I had planned and just can't  ride around in this heat and traffic to see anymore  stuff. It has been gret, Ladakh was the best, these big cities not so much but glad we travelled to Agra, Jaipur and Varanasi.  If you don't  go you won't  know. Richard has to wait till the 6th October  to go home, we got on well the entire time, he was skeptical but felt the same, he was so easy going, unlike me. The main thing was we made it through the mountains  without any issues, my concern all along was the Rockwall and landslides, really bothered me as I saw the damage along the way. A lot of people perished in all the landslides due to the catastrophic  rains they had while we were here. Gret trip, Ladakh and Spiti Valley was beyond description.  Last day in Delhi, visited some Brutalist Architectural buildings. ...
