PANAMIK KHARDUNG LA PASS 5359 metres -- 17982 ft. 165kms. 28-8-25

After 4 days stuck in Leh due to the rain was nice to be back on the bike. Straight out of Leh you start to climb up Khardungla Pass to 5359 metres.
The climb never seemed to end and was covered in a blanket of snow and my hands were freezing. It use to be the highest pass in the world but now is the second highest.
Turned out to be a beautiful  day with sunshine and blue skies. We dropped down the other side which took forever to get down into the Nubra Valley floor. Never seen such magnificent, huge valleys with enormous mountains towering on either side.
The valley has like two fingers and we rode the right side valley and stopped at Pannamik at 2:30pm, took way longer than I thought and we are about halfway up. Have a real nice guesthouse with a gret mattress, dinner and breakfast for INR 3000. ($34)
